The Benicia Community Tennis Association (BCTA) is a United States Tennis Association (USTA) Community Organization in the USTA NorCal Section. This volunteer-based Association is located in Benicia, CA and was formed on September 27, 2001 at its first General Meeting. BCTA currently has 100+ members, from Fairfield to Walnut Creek, and continues to experience robust growth. The BCTA community is one of 60 community tennis organizations nationally in the USTA, the governing body of tennis in America. The BCTA was formed to promote tennis in Benicia by providing tennis programs, league team tennis, tournaments for juniors, adults and seniors, clinics, after school tennis, and drop-in-tennis to ensure that players and families of all levels and ages enjoy tennis as a lifetime sport. Many of these programs are already successfully underway. In addition the BCTA works to improve tennis playing conditions at the Benicia Middle School and Benicia High School. The organization is also an integral component in getting the courts resurfaced and having lights installed on the City of Benicia’s downtown courts. BCTA operates with a volunteer staff. We always need the help and skills of tennis enthusiasts. Please contact us if you would like to become a part of our volunteer family and help grow the game of tennis in the Benicia community.
